The Business Savvy Singer Podcast

Meet Meg Paulette Perez

Episode Summary

This week Dr. Greta Pope sits down with Meg Paulette. Since 2019, Meg Paulette Perez has served as the Director of the Buchanan District Library, where she combines her passion for community service with a lifelong love of reading. A Buchanan native, Meg has previously worked with the Center for the Homeless Ministries in South Bend and spent four years at Ottawa Elementary School. Her diverse background also includes a marketing role at Fernwood Botanical Garden, leveraging her Graphic Design degree. One of her proudest achievements as Director is the elimination of late fees, implemented before larger libraries like those in Chicago, which has made library resources more accessible to the community. Meg encourages patrons to return books promptly so that all community members can enjoy the library’s offerings. She is also a musician with her husband in a punk rock band called the River Rats.
